Maintenance and cleaning
Doors and surfaces
Easily cleaned with a lightly dampened microfiber cloth. Use regular soapy water both inside and outside. If several waste bins are connected with magnets, regularly check for dirt between the bins. Should small scratches occur on the surface, a repair kit can be purchased.
Wheels and feet
Wheels and feet are hidden behind the plinth and therefore do not come into direct contact with waste. Regularly check for dust that may accumulate in the wheels. It can easily be removed by laying the bin on its side and cleaning the wheels with a damp cloth. For more stubborn dirt, use white spirit.
Bag holders
Easily cleaned with a lightly dampened microfiber cloth. Use regular soapy water. Once a year, check whether the two mounting screws are still tightened securely. The bag holders and screws can easily be replaced if they break.
Gas damper, lid and foot pedals
Gas dampers and fittings are placed to collect as little dirt as possible. Easily cleaned with a lightly dampened microfiber cloth. Use regular soapy water. The opening mechanism for pedal bins is built on nylon bearings, which do not require lubrication or other maintenance.

Typical questions and answers
Why should I sort my waste?
There are several reasons. Sorting ensures that smaller amounts of waste end up being incinerated. Waste sorting also helps recycle far more materials and thereby reduces CO2 emissions by reducing the need to produce new materials.
How can we reduce the amount of waste we produce?
There are several ways to reduce waste. For example, we can reuse paper as filling in shipping boxes, buy reusable coffee cups instead of disposable ones, buy more second‑hand items instead of new ones, choose products with less packaging, and compost food waste instead of throwing it in the waste bin.
What can organic waste be converted into?
The organic waste is recycled to extract biogas, which is used for environmentally friendly electricity, heat or fuel.
