Growing Trees Network

Contributing to Kibæk Folkeskov for more nature and increased biodiversity

Nature belongs to all of us. It is something we all use. It must not be taken for granted. Therefore, it is important that we collectively contribute to creating more forest areas where birds and insects can thrive, and where we can enjoy fresh air and beautiful surroundings on a walk or run.

Bica has contributed 100 trees to Følpøt Folkeskov near Kibæk, which will be planted in autumn 2025.

The project is initiated by Growing Trees Network, which since 2013 has planted more than 4.2 million trees worldwide. In Denmark, they have been involved in more than 160 forest‑creation projects and are among the 3–5 largest private forest‑creation organisations in Europe.

We are proud sponsors of Danske Hospitalsklovne

When life takes a turn, we must stand together

Ronald McDonald House Charities is a small, independent foundation with the primary purpose of establishing and operating houses in Denmark. Here, families with seriously ill children can stay for as long as their children are hospitalised.

On 19 March 2025, the foundation opened a new house at the new OUH in Odense, offering space for 15 families. The foundation has saved for many years to make this possible. It has therefore been wonderful to contribute with waste solutions for their kitchen, where both families and staff spend time. The physical surroundings mean a great deal during a difficult time for children and their families.

“Your support means that we can maintain the standard for families that we strive for. And that will always be the most important thing for us.”

Anne Rasmussen, Project Manager & Fundraiser

Children’s well-being matters most – they are our future

Far too many children in Denmark struggle. They feel lonely, are bullied and lose confidence in themselves. We must never accept that.

During their stay at a Julemærkehjem, children learn new ways to see themselves and the world around them, helping them build self-esteem. The staff make a huge difference for many children who are struggling in one way or another. Naturally, we want to support this.

We ensured that the Julemærkehjem in Hobro received waste sorting solutions, and the children enthusiastically helped unpack the bins. It was a wonderful day.
